Pianist and composer Jackson Love was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma. At the age of seven, he started training as a classical pianist and continued throughout high school. His studies included composers such as Beethoven, Chopin, and Debussy. Although he never took to sight reading, he enjoyed playing by ear and often sought to expand upon Chopin or Debussy’s melodies. He soon began experimenting with his own music.
In 2013, he composed his first album, Seasons, while in high school and has continued to compose music throughout college. Jackson’s most recent album, The Ocean, was inspired by his trips to Malibu, Destin, and San Diego and relies on the Sostenuto pedal to embody sound traveling across waves.
